How do we access coaching supervision?

We are often asked by our students how they might access supervision.  Coaching supervision is now regarded as an essential component of our development as coaches, supporting us to reflect, to develop insight, practice our interventions and find restorative energy.

We now wish to offer 6 places for our next group, starting on 14 June and led by Joanne Kerr who is an accredited coach supervisor.  This will be particularly helpful if you are completing your ILM assignments, and will provide you with valuable evidence.  We ask group members to commit to attending 3 group sessions over a 12 month period.  The cost of group supervision is £450 for 3 sessions.

To help you think about your own requirements here are some preparatory questions to reflect on:

  • What types of issues might I take to supervision?
  • What are the issues or patterns that I notice repeating with my coachees?
  • What feedback have I had from my coachees and what does this mean?
  • What might I avoid taking to a supervisor? What does this tell me?
  • When am I at my best as a coach?

So if you are interested in joining us for supervision please can you register your interest with Gillian Wishart by 20 May 2016.

Meantime, we are hoping to pilot our ILM 7 Certificate in Coaching Supervision in Northern Ireland, beginning in September 2016.   This programme is being hosted by an organization called MindWise – so if you know anyone who may be interested, then do ask them to make contact.
